AI/ML Engineer

Design intelligent systems that make legal work faster, smarter, and more accessible.

About the role

Veridraft’s core platform is built on AI-powered governance automation — transforming how companies draft resolutions, manage entities, and maintain multi-jurisdictional compliance.

We’re hiring an AI/ML Engineer to push the boundaries of how models understand corporate legal language, automate drafting, detect compliance risks, and support governance decision-making at scale.

You’ll work closely with product, legal domain experts, and engineering to embed advanced AI capabilities directly into workflows used by in-house legal teams, CFOs, and compliance professionals managing complex, multi-entity structures.

You’ll help build and improve:

  • AI-powered resolution drafting and clause intelligence

  • Multi-jurisdictional compliance rule engines

  • Entity and register data extraction and validation systems

  • Risk detection across filings (UBO, ESG, KYC, economic substance)

  • Structured knowledge layers that turn governance data into actionable insight

This is not generic legal AI — it’s infrastructure-level intelligence for corporate governance.

What you’ll be doing

  • Develop and fine-tune models for document analysis, clause detection, summarization, and risk scoring.

  • Build evaluation pipelines and ensure model performance, reliability, and safety.

  • Collaborate with engineering to deploy AI features at scale.

  • Research new approaches to improve accuracy on domain-specific data.

  • Work with product teams to transform complex legal tasks into intelligent workflows.

About you

  • 3+ years of experience in machine learning or applied NLP.

  • Strong background in LLMs, transformers, and text-based classification tasks.

  • Experience with Python, PyTorch, TensorFlow, or similar frameworks.

  • Ability to balance experimentation with shipping production-ready features.

  • Interest in LegalTech, compliance, or domain-specific modeling is a plus.

Benefits

  • Remote-first environment (option to work on-site in Strasbourg HQ).

  • Competitive salary.

  • Annual learning & conference budget.

  • Flexible hours and async-friendly culture.

  • Work with a passionate team building real AI impact in LegalTech.
