About the role
You’ll work closely with the CTO and Head of Engineering to build and scale the infrastructure underpinning Veridraft’s enterprise platform.
This is a hands-on infrastructure and platform engineering role focused on building reliable, secure, and scalable cloud systems for enterprise software and AI-powered workflows. You’ll take ownership across AWS infrastructure, deployment architecture, developer tooling, observability, security, and platform reliability.
You’ll also work closely with the application engineering team to ensure our architecture, services, and deployment patterns are designed to scale as the platform grows.
We’re looking for someone comfortable operating in an early-stage environment with high ownership, fast iteration cycles, and direct involvement in technical decision-making.
The ideal candidate has strong AWS and infrastructure engineering experience, understands modern software development practices, and enjoys building systems that make engineering teams faster while keeping enterprise-grade reliability and security at the core.
What you’ll be doing
Design, build, and maintain Veridraft’s AWS infrastructure and cloud architecture
Own infrastructure-as-code, deployment pipelines, and environment management
Build and improve CI/CD workflows across development, staging, and production environments
Design scalable infrastructure for enterprise SaaS and AI-powered workloads
Improve platform reliability, availability, performance, and fault tolerance
Implement monitoring, logging, alerting, and observability across the platform
Manage containerised workloads, compute infrastructure, networking, storage, and databases
Work closely with engineers to improve developer experience and deployment velocity
Support backend and platform development where infrastructure and application architecture intersect
Help design secure infrastructure patterns for enterprise customer environments
Contribute to security, access management, secrets management, backup, and disaster recovery architecture
Identify infrastructure bottlenecks and proactively improve scalability and resilience
Contribute to technical architecture and engineering standards as the platform scales
About you
6–8+ years of software, infrastructure, platform, DevOps, or cloud engineering experience
Strong hands-on experience building and operating production systems on AWS
Strong understanding of AWS services such as ECS/EKS, EC2, Lambda, RDS, S3, CloudFront, IAM, VPC, Route 53, and CloudWatch
Experience with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, AWS CDK, CloudFormation, or similar tools
Strong experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines
Experience with Docker and containerised production environments
Strong understanding of networking, cloud security, IAM, secrets management, and infrastructure security
Experience designing highly available and scalable cloud architectures
Comfortable working with TypeScript, Node.js, Python, or similar backend technologies
Strong understanding of databases, APIs, distributed systems, and modern application architecture
Experience implementing monitoring, logging, alerting, and observability systems
Comfortable working independently in a fast-moving startup environment
Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate closely with technical leadership and product engineers
Strong engineering mindset with a focus on automation, reliability, simplicity, and operational excellence
Nice to Have
Experience operating infrastructure for AI or LLM-powered applications
Experience with Kubernetes or large-scale container orchestration
Experience with PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis, or managed database infrastructure
Experience with SOC 2, ISO 27001, or enterprise security requirements
Experience building multi-tenant enterprise SaaS platforms
Experience with event-driven or distributed architectures
Experience implementing disaster recovery, backup, and business continuity strategies
Experience in legal tech, fintech, compliance, or other security-sensitive enterprise software environments
